Columbus Spirit Store Employee (Full-Time and Part-Time)
Position Overview: As a Spirit/School Store Employee, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the store. Your duties will include performing regular store tasks, fulfilling online orders, tagging products, checking in merchandise upon delivery, and being available for some weekend events on campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and faculty. Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and processing transactions.
- Sales & Merchandising: Maintain an organized and visually appealing store layout. Restock shelves and displays as needed to ensure products are readily available for customers.
- Online Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and ship online orders in a timely manner. Ensure all orders are processed correctly and delivered promptly.
- Inventory Management: Check in merchandise upon delivery. Verify that shipments match purchase orders and report any discrepancies.
- Product Tagging: Tag new merchandise with price tags and security tags. Ensure all items are correctly labeled and organized.
- Event Support: Be available to support weekend events on campus, such as school games, fairs, and special events, which may require setting up and managing temporary sales booths.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and organized. Perform routine cleaning tasks and ensure the store remains presentable at all times.
- Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately. Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
